大門進門後可放水種植物旺財, 但較宜放大葉植物聚財, 較少用竹。 賞澄只會在文昌位或桃花位放4枝富貴竹, 催文昌或桃花, 合『一四同宮, 準發科名之顯』. 竹也宜放直身的, 越長高越好, 取其屋內各人步步高昇之意, 時下流行的彎曲的竹我不會用, 免得好事多磨.
