五鬼位一般會放真葫蘆化病, 但其實最好計算廚房屬何宮位五行, 與流年飛星的關係作用才決定葫蘆用何種物料, 如純屬病土的五黃二黑可用銅葫蘆; 但如果是木火就不宜用強金剋火, 如果水火相沖, 用金加強水氣沒有通關就如火上加油. 葫蘆會吸病化煞, 易入難出, 如放錯位會有反效果.
即是說, 真係計清楚是五鬼位才好放葫蘆.
